Getting Access to GAP

Prerequisites

1. Your team is onboarded to Microsoft Azure

Most likely your team is already onboarded at Azure. If not, instructions on how to start your teams cloud journey can be found on the "Getting Started with Azure" confluence page.

2. You have a Gjensidige Azure Test user

To get a test user, go to the Guest User Request form and fill in your name and @gjensidige.xx-email. Select Test as Tenant. When the form is submitted, you will receive an email with signup instructions. Finish the signup process before moving to the next steps.

3. You have joined community Slack channels

The GAP community is located in the channel #gap at Slack πŸ‘ͺπŸ’ƒ This is where we share ideas, collaborate and do support for developers using the platform.

Request Access Packages

GAP Developer access package

To get access to infrastructure and tools included in GAP, you need to request the following access packages:

Your team access package

To gain full access to both shared resources and those specific to your team, you’ll need to request membership in your team through the appropriate access packages. Go to https://myaccess.microsoft.com/. In the top-right corner, select the correct tenant (Gjensidige Forsikring ASA for Prod or Gjensidige - Test for Test) using the Organization icon. Request access to the relevant package:

  • Azure: Team <team_name> – Member (Prod)
  • Azure: Team <team_name> – Member (Test)

Your request will need approval from one of your team’s designated approvers. You can verify who the approver is for your team and environment by checking the approvers fields in the terraform-azure-onboarding repository. If you are listed as an approver, another approver must review and approve your request, since these access packages do not allow self-approval.

A detailed guide for accessing each tool is also available at our Confluence page Getting access to Platform tools - Slack, Github, Grafana, ArgoCD.
